post show and classes

Hi,

it's been a week since the show and I have to thank all the people who came - it was brilliant! Thanks so much for your support. We are looking forward to another great show in September.

Enough of that for the minute.

I want to repost some stuff about the classes that Christi Friesen is doing here at my studio in June.

Christi is an award-winning polymer clay artist who will be visiting our shores in June for 2 weeks of classes. I will be having her on Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th June in my Mt. Evelyn studio.

She is a great and relaxed teacher and all the classes are suitable for any skill level.Class duration is 3 hours so -

Monday morning June 29th, 10am - 1pm: steampunk fish. I have 9 in this one so consider it full and you'd be on a waiting list for this.

Monday afternoon 2pm - 5pm: phoenix. I have 3 in this one so plenty of room still.

Monday evening 7.15pm - 10.15pm: steampunk bird. I have 8 so consider it full and you'd be on a waiting list for this.

Tuesday evening 7.15pm - 10.15pm: steampunk chameleon and I have 3 in this one so plenty of room still.

Each animal is one class. The cost for each class is $60.00 per person which includes the clay and tea/coffee (if you'd like to bring a cake or something to share for the break that would be good), but not the clock pieces. We will have these available for you to purchase (about $5.00 per bag) I would think that the finished pieces are around maybe 2-3inches or so, given what most of her work is like, but you can of course make them smaller. If you are interested please get in touch with me with which class and the times you prefer.

Hi,

just a few quick words.

Unfortunately Creative Memories and Urban Driftwood will not be attending the show. They have had to pull out due to health issues. Hopefully we will see them at the September show.

We have a few new traders at the show - Dragonfly Crafts, Debling in Design, Fern Gully Stamps, Kaszazz, L'Art Du Scrap, Liz Zed Creations and Keepsakes Wholesale Crafts. It will be interesting to see what goodies they have to offer as well as their demonstrations and samples.

Hi from a cold Mt. Evelyn this morning.

More info about who's doing what at the pic to page show:

Creative Dreams joined us last year and had a terrific show. They are back again and will be running an email competition. Drop in your email address and go in the draw to win 1 of 3 prizes: 1st prize - craft hamper to the value of $500; 2nd prize  craft hamper to the value of $250; 3rd prize craft hamper to the value of $125. Drawn Wed 20/5/09.

Little Bits will be doing demos all day using their stamps and many special techniques they have perfected over the years. Always a pleasure to see Lesley and the girls.

Heaven's Scent will be at the show. Deb and her staff are always friendly and helpful and will be offering lots of show specials.

I'm waiting on the other traders giving me the heads-up on what they plan to do at the show and will let you all know as soon as I do.
